Jaws unhinged
ABSTRACT
Katie's exhibition project, Jaws Unhinged, is a jaw surgery recovery kit. It was created to make something scary, significant, and life-changing, like jaw surgery, a little easier to go through and recover from. Since Katie has gone through it twice, she has learned tips and tricks to make the recovery process more manageable. Through the workbook, updated pamphlets, recipe book, and other material, Katie hopes that others going through jaw surgery will have an easier time with recovery.

DEPARTURE
After graduating, Katie plans to pursue an in-house graphic design job for a company. She hopes for an art director role but will take whatever she finds fit. She has also thought about going to grad school for medical illustration, but sometime down the road. She has also thought about getting a side gig in furniture design if she has the time for it, but it will definitely be a hobby of hers.
